Solar Photo Voltaic Endorsement Programme (SPVEP)

URC, under its predecessor Seychelles Energy Commission established the SPVEP for suppliers and installers since 2017 aiming towards higher efficiency and better quality of Solar PV products and installations in the Seychelles. URC works towards ensuring that a certain minimum set of skills and quality is practiced for using the PV technology. This program confirms compliance of the products to the technical standards and furthermore, envisage that the endorsed PV suppliers and installers will gain increased credibility and marketing value.

Those who are interested in becoming Solar PV System Suppliers or Installers or even both are welcomed to obtain the application form to become part of dynamic market promoting Renewable energy in the Seychelles. The application forms and other requirements to qualify for the endorsement procedure are now available below or can be requested via email to info@urc.sc.

URC advise that only registered suppliers/installers will be eligible for applying for registration of PV systems and also for existing/future promotional schemes for PV such as PV rebate, VAT exemption, and SEEREP/SME loan schemes. Importers can feel free to add new products throughout the year but submit them for approval prior to importation along with proper supporting documents.
